Let me be clear: I do not think the Clintons are racist. But I believe they have used the ugly part of peoples nature to divide and conquer.
1) Gender - The woman and the victim card
2) Race - The race card of Obama having a pass. Ridiculous
3) Class - The blue collar card when Hillary has always lived a priviledged and now rich life.
So now as Democrats fight over Gender, Race, and Class, the Clintons will try to swoop in and win this nomination. If they are successful, they will once again have power and more privilege from their lobbyists money. We the people will get nothing. We will have 8 years of failed promises like the universal health care that was promised and failed. The sad thing is will Americans be united? I believe the Clintons have dug up some of the most ugly items of race, gender, and class hate that will be hard to repair. Please share your thoughts. Can this be repaired? Are the Clintons really divisive?
Do you agree the Clinton campaign has succesfully divided the nation?
yes.
she has played all three of those cards you mentioned.
pitiful too.
obama got in the game, he played to win, he played by the rules, he played fair and square and now that he's won the most pledged available delegates, she can't accept it.
but we won't let hillary or mccain win.
we must come out in RECORD NUMBERS this november to stop her and mccain.
Reply:Obama claims to want to unite the country, yet his bitter comment about working white Americans (obviously not his supporters) divided them up, and rich white Americans like him and hate poorer Americans (the people who pay the rich people's taxes for them) and Obama raises the blacks on a holy pedestal. So there, you have three groups of people in the United States created by Obama's campaign: poor white working Americans, rich white Americans, and blacks.
Reply:Yes. She probably isn't particularly racist, but that's beside the point - she doesn't care about America or Americans, she was greedy for power and damaging America by leaving it in McSame's hands was an acceptable collateral damage to her - ANYTHING is. How her supporters don't see that simple fact is beyond me - but then, this is the country where a cross-eyed complete idiot got elected for two terms, too.
Reply:No . . . the split in the party is long standing and one candidates actions are not the root cause . . . thing Reagan Democrats . . . you lost with Gore and Kerry because we didn't show up to vote . . . we handed Reagan the election . . . and we'll be the downfall for Obama as well . . . the liberals may hate us but they need us to vote if they want to win . . . maybe one day you'll figure it out.
Reply:Yes just like Bill Did when he was President one sided one way and used personal attacks on Conversatives that eventaully led them into power, this is why Bill was so disliked by conservatives it was huis way or the Highway.
You are now seeing Hillary from a different perspective that is the way Bill treated us for 8 years.
Odd is it not to see what we saw.
Reply:No.
Everything was pretty good until Obama entered the race (which he said he was not going to do)
You not only unsure but uninformed.
The health care you speak about was prevented by the senate and the house not the Clintons.
Reply:Obama has been the divider along racial lines. And people like you are part of the problem.
The idea that Obama has gotten a free pass is not a racial issue...you (and Donna Brazile) are trying to make it one.
Reply:If you hit the edit button, you change your question to...Do you agree the Hussein Obama campaign has successfully divided the nation?
Reply:It's people like you that are doing the dividing...it's obama that is the divided one. Here is part of our first presidential speech from obama blablabla Ya know what i mean?? Ya know what i mean??
Reply:Hillary Clinton started out her campaign with half of the country hating her, and ended her campaign with 75% of the country hating her.
Reply:Obama has divided the country every bit as much if not more than the Clintons
And I am not a fan of either
But can I suggest the DNC never call itself the " Party of unity" again
Reply:Use yahoo answer to judge this. A lot of Obama supporter and Clinton supporter. They both have hot hatress to eachother
Reply:Divided the Democratic Party maybe, but not the nation. They're not the same.
Reply:NO......Hillary has divided the Democratic Party but Obama has divided the Nation.
Reply:I think you have it confused. The Obama campaign is the most divisive in history.
Reply:Obama is doing a much better job at dividing this nation.
Reply:Not the nation just the democrats
Reply:No. Obama is doing it ... just look what took place in his church over the weekend. How could anyone with a rational mind be associated with a racist hate cult, masquerading as a church?!?
Reply:no doubt. she has create a whole new generation of america haters.
Reply:I gave you a star because it a good question ,BUT bush already did the job sorry
Reply:No the Clinton campaign has not divided the nation. Hillary has been torn apart by the press because of her gender--they have talked about her clothes, her cleavage, how she will age in the next few years--if this had been done to Obama, it would have been called racism. Of course Obama has had a pass--he is the media darling. Even when certain things have come up, it is quickly brushed under the rug. It is a fact that she is getting the blue collar workers vote--yes she has had a good life, so what? Obama, contrary to what his supporters think, was not and is not a poor man.
Reply:Ha! Ha! So you are believing in someone who says one thing and does another . That's like knowing what your getting before you get it. At least Bush was failed Promise. You had no red flags, Ovictim does the opposite of what he says he wants. That makes absolutely NO since whats so ever,He is like waving red flags. Also, it wasn't the Clinton's going to Rev Wrights Church that was Ovictim, Ha! Ha! Remember the RACE speech and how he could not disown His great Uncle Wright. Well we know how that story ends, Which goes to show you O is whatever he needs to be to get your vote. Very Scary that so many are fooled by him. WAKE UP, he is the one that has split the country. He has made you a VICTIM, Sure, someday hopefully, it can be repaired. Oh and O has not made the 107 million Clinton has in 6 years but he is still a millionaire. O is ALL about being a Victim, he is black, he had to pay back his student loan to Harvard. He is being attacked for going to a anti American Church, and associating with American haters. I mean life has just not been fair to him, He says we cling to our Religion . By the way, that's a good thing. See he did this to him self, NO its not good, BUT ITS FREAKING TRUE , Why you blaming her?
Reply:No.
I believe when someone holds a sign up at a rally for Clinton that says "Iron My Shirt" and no one cares, and BO says "every time you challenge the status quo the CLAWS come out" or "periodically when she gets to feeling down she launches attacks" there is bias on the basis or gender. And it is accepted.
I believe if Hillary had any association with Rev Wright her head would have been handed to her.
BO was raised in Hawaii by his mothers family and is not underpriveleged. Hillary Clinton had a middle class upbringing and is successful through hard work.
Reply:Because he is a black and white man with a immigration experience. He represent all sides of our American history. For the longest we have had our white presidents. In fact we have had 44 of them and they have tried tio set this America n track, but is has not been easy. You can tell that there is work to be done because of the racial tension that is shown in this election. It was dhown in the 2000 election when the Republicans were blasting McCain for having a black child.
Anyone that knows black people know that they have alot of healing to deal with. Blacks have been though slavery much like the native Americans were invaded by Europeans and the Jews were killed by Hitler. America had addressed the issue with them by giving Native Americans their own reservations in America allowing them to establish their own laws. Americans have cut of a piece of land in the Middle East and gave it to the Jews. What did America give the blacks?
Well, blacks werer promised 40 acres and a mule per slave and they never got that much like the Jews and native Americans. Alot of blacks are bitter about that. Instead we got Affirmative action and welfare. Programs that tells us to depend on the government istead of divesting our money to subsequent generation. White people saw this as a hand out and understandably so. They felt that they were being left out out government's help especially in the areas of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky. This resentment grew into what we now see as racial tension.
I know because I live it all the time. Th government was wrong for allowing this to go on without finding ways to advance this program that would allow blacks to be self sufficient. Welfare took up so much that it took away alot of other programs usefule to development such as career development and schools, and at ricsk programs.
Older blacks are reminded of it everyday that they did not get the treatment like the Jews and native Americans. Blacks did not get legislation that would allow for independence and the passing of the wealth to generations after.
Instead, they got legislation that would allow young blacks to achieve dependence instead of liberation. Being free form a system that encourages blacks not go get a job, go to school, and that they do not have to work as hard becaus of Affirmative action.
Katrina is a great example of the disaster our social programs and lack of reform has done. To blacks government did not care about them. To whites, they should have left because they had warning. Flordia has hurricane and they can rebound, why didn't Katrina.
In Katrina, people had nowhere to go. Noone had assets. Probaly had no ties to a financial institution or money to put into the institution.
The more I think of the term liberation, I sense that blacks want to be free from dependence of welfare ( dependence on government), free from the stereotypes, and free from their own pains.
Obama has given his speeach on race from both sides, when was the last time a white candidate gave a speech on race as it pertains to both races or just white? None. I think it is about time our white and black politicians have this talk
Short answer: The country has always been divided. it is shown more during election. The sad part of it all is that religion has played into this. It is almost like looking at politicians now.
Reply:You know what ? This question says it all for me. I couldnt put it better myself. Thats the Clintons for you, egoistic and self serving and to hell with whatever you have to use to get your way !
Obama 08 ( if theres any justice )
And Dodger (above ) if the democrats shouldnt be called the "party of unity " then isnt it ironic that this election is in the " United States " !!!!! Now thats a joke .
