As a latino voter, why would I vote for Obama instead of Clinton?

Fortunately, Hillary had a good win in Texas, she specially won the Rio Grande Valley area in South Texas where I'm from.


Both candidates came to Edinburg, TX to the University of Texas Pan American. Obama additionally gave a speech in Brownsville, TX and Hillary gave a speech in Hidalgo, TX.


But there was no way Obama could possibly win in this latino community.


Hillary is bilingual! On her visits, Hillary was asked questions by local people in SPANISH, and she responded in SPANISH. After she left, her daughter Chelsea stuck by and campaigned a few more days in this area.





Obama gave his speeches, and answered questions in English. He read some phrases off some cards in Spanish, but that didn't impress anyone!





How are we Latinos expected to believe he cares about our affairs and issues if he doesn't even speak our language?





Why would any latino vote for Obama?

Reply:Barrack and Hilary's first language is English not Spanish. If you are really Latino, because you are a minority. You should support other minorities. Beside that! Vote on the issue that will support the needs of you and your family. Do you know what the issues are? Are you voting for Hilary because someone told you to vote for her or because she is Caucasian? Did you vote for Hilary because she can do special favors for the Latinos community? I think most Latinos are angered at Obama's support of fencing the border. Don't you want someone who will treat every race equally? And you have to look past race and gender and vote on the issues. Why would any Latino vote for Obama? You need to ask your people in your community that question. I do have Latinos friends and they voted for Obama. I guess it depends on the state you live in. Are you friends with African Americans or do you hold the negative stereotypes of blacks? We are just like you and have dealt with oppression. Only different is you can speak Spanish and we can't. According to the polls nationwide, most young college and educated Latinos are voting for Obama. You have to asked yourself do you want this country to continue in the same old way it's going or do you want change. Something new for all people not just certain geographic of people. I think Obama is for all the people. He didn't go so low as to use scare tactics, fear and lies to win voters.

I have no problem with people voting for who they want to vote for, that's fine... but if you are lumping the Latino community in with the uneducated voters who are voting for Hillary... it doesn't say anything good about Latios in this country.

The only thing the Democrats have to offer Latinos is handouts to Latinos who plan to stay at the bottom. And I don't know many Latinos who came to America with that in mind. Every one I know and all the ones I have ever worked with move so quickly into the middle class that it is truly the American Dream in action.





Why would you vote for a party that openly says that it will tax you to give your money to people who don't work as hard as you do, who don't share your values of getting ahead and helping other members of your own community do the same?


The Democrats increase government spending that slows down the economy, making it harder for you to get loans to buy your own homes or start your own business.


Sen. McCain has advocated sensible immigration policies for a long time and had been willing to stand up against some in both parties to do what's right whether than what's easy.





Vote for what's right for you, for Latinos and for the American Dream.


You won't get that from the Democrats.

Same thing is happening with the black vote and Obama. There was a story in the local news here that a black woman wanted to vote for Obama. The woman was registered as a republican and complained and made a huge deal about how she was not able to vote for Obama. Unbelievable how ignorant people are, scary in fact that we have people like that voting for our next president.

Edit: One final thought. This is the United States, we speak English. Learn the language. If I were to move to another country I would not be arrogant enough to expect the people of that country to bow to my language, I would learn the language.
