Someone did. I don't know who nor what their motivation was. It may have been intentional, it may have been someone's inexperience when dealing with black skin, the lighting. I can't say for sure.





The original and the retouched photo were on the front page of AM New York.





I checked fact check, it emphasized that is was not just his face but the entire image was darker. It also said dark images are a common technique used in attack ads.





I beleive it was intentionally darkened, but not because of his race, but because that's what they do to make people look less appealing, they darken the entire image.





Incidentlly, Time magazine did the same thing with OJ Simpsons photo. It was very obvious because it contrasted so greatly with other magazines that had him on the cover at the same time.

Reply:In this particular case, I kind of doubt it. Sounds a little too "black helicopter" to me. However, if she didn't do it, it's NOT because she isn't an evil hag. On the contrary, she's probably kicking herself for not thinking of it first!
