Why did she then vote to invade? If she did not make a stand then is this not more of a personality trait then an intellectual persuasion? Status quo agreement when all the cards aren't in?
If 3 years ago Hilary Clinton felt that Bush circumvented the UN investigation and rushed to invade Iraq ?
No, it was a choice. Back then the war wasn't unpopular and it wasn't going to badly. She would never have stuck her neck out on the line like that. She had decided to run for president and her strategy was to go along with whatever the polls suggested.
Reply:She's just like her husband. She waits to see which way the polls are leaning before she makes a commitment. Then when the polls change she back pedals to make up the difference and change her chameleon color once again.
Reply:It was less a jump on the bandwagon sort of thing and more a, if you don't jump on the bandwagon you'll be labeled a terrorist supporter and Osama lover. She did what everyone else did, saw limited options presented and accepted the fact that the general population wanted retaliation.
Reply:Still beating dead horses? The president
decided to trust his own judgment. We don't live in the UN. We live in the USA.
Everyone wanted action, now! The commander in chief went where he knew the war would be. No, he didn't necessarily play by the rules. We have never played by the rules when threatened. The stakes are too high.
The outcome of WWII is a great victory for freedom over dark forces. Have you been to a foreign country? Have you worn the uniform of a U.S. soldier? You don't know the first thing about the wonderful freedoms we share in the U.S. We all go to bed safely at night without fearing the Gestapo or similar secret police.
You are all free to spew hate without fear of consequence, as we see here. Can you think of something for a change that
might contribute to the dialogue? Attacks
get problems nowhere, as each side trys to prove the other is a Communist, or a Disneyite or a Morman prosthyiszer. Have you ever read a book? Watched anything on TV but bevis and butthead? Ever watch National Public Television? Ever go to a
political debate or read a daily newspaper? What would an issue be? Take a deep breath. Stop and think. It doesn't hurt at all. God bless, whoever you vote for, vote!
Reply:I don't know, her husband totally ignored the UN and invaded Kosovo, without UN approval or a coalition of other forces. Maybe that's why we're still there, 8 years later.
Reply:She was being her typical self. She does have a psychopathic personality. She care nothing about consequences or anyone.
Reply:She was afraid to be on the wrong side of the debate so she hedged her bets.
Reply:The vote was actually four years ago, not three. And at the time, she thought she was doing the right thing. Now she is admitting she was wrong.
I admire a leader who can admit something like that. I'd prefer not to have my President bang his head against the wall for years and years and not understand that that's why his head hurts.
Reply:The vote was to give Bush the power to invade AFTER he exhausted all avenues. Bush failed on that part. He invaded before allowing the investigators to investigate.
I know you'll want to say that we gave Saddam plenty of chances but I must remind you that no WMDs were found. The UN and President Clinton's policies were working. Bush only wants the oil.
Reply:She didn't just vote for the invasion of Iraq, she was one of the most rabid supporters of that invasion. If you can get past the stomach churning singing, here's what she said in front of a group of Code Pink.
Funny how her message changes when she's running for president and trying to win the democratic nomination. Wonder what it'll change to next?
