Is Bill Clinton playing the race card?

In response to a question about whether Obama had beaten “two Clintons” as opposed to just Hillary, Bill Clinton replied: “Jesse Jackson won South Carolina twice, in ’84 and ’88. And he ran a good campaign. Senator Obama’s run a good campaign here, he’s run a good campaign everywhere.” The implication was clear: Obama is a black candidate whom blacks disproportionately support.

Is Bill Clinton playing the race card?
A racially charged statement like that from former president clinton clearly indicates his frustration in his quest for a third term presidency. He is fast becoming a shameless as hole and a terrible disgrace to the american people.
Reply:I personally don't believe he was in that particular statement. However it could be said that it was belittling to the black voters by saying that they were voting form Obama simply because he was black, instead of because he had the best ideas for the change they believed was best for the country, and that would only be true if that was not the truth . Seeing as how Obama and Clinton's ideas and policy is basically the same. I believe his statement was merely based on the statistics. Personally i believe both Obama and the Clintons have been playing the race card in one form or another. A little immature for people that are vying for the presidency of the untied states don't you think?
Reply:the clintons dont have my vote

i see you cant sleep brad
Reply:President Clinton was just stating a fact in response to a reporter's question. Political analyst %26amp; commentator Pat Buchanon also said the same thing.

Nothing wrong with stating facts, but it's not fair when the media distorts it into something perceived as divisive.

If Obama said that Jessie Jackson won twice in SC during his 2 presidential campaigns - no one would have said anything.
Reply:No, off course not.
Reply:nonot at all, if anybody is using its Obama
Reply:No. The race card has been the exclusive province of Barack Hussein Obama and his surrogates from day one. Obama has a stacked deck full of race cards yet to play.

My proof? The results of the South Carolina primary. Blacks voted right along color lines.
Reply:Obama's the one playing the race card--and it's working. He has us looking for some sort of racist fault to find with the Clintons who have been there for African Americans for decades.

Don't be so so defensive; that's just what Obama is setting you up to be. I'm not convinced that once he's in the White House he'll be as pro African Americans as he'd like us to believe. He has nothing in common with the typical black American family; he was raised in comfort by a white mother and never had the American black person's experience of discrimination and unemployment.

If you think he's going to make things any more equal, you're kidding yourself.
Reply:The Clintons make me laugh. Staging questions (the crying incidents) and other events (sexist rally protestors - "Iron my Shirt") to make themselves look good. After the Iowa speech they were surrounded with all old people, and the news outlets noticed and were copying it, now they're trying to copy Obama, as in these past speeches they've made sure to fill up the background with young people and minorities.
Reply:Yes he is playing the race card hoping that racial sensitivities will generate the white vote. Lame!
Reply:I doubt it but he is being inflamatory! Below the belt punches and acting very un-Presidential.
Reply:The answer to your question is clear. Yes, he is.
